Loyal followers of the actress are demanding that a person who jumped a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.
A viral footage shows the Australian man pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.
Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by security officers.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was due to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.
"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.
"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further message on Instagram.
Several attendees also questioned guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.
In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.
Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.
Hundreds of fans had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.
The motion picture, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the popular stage show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two very different sorceresses.
The show itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.
They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, securing several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
